This valuable pour le merite came from a great old collection. The medal was made after WW I maybe in the 30`years for veterans and highly officers. Mostly pour le merite were destroyed after the war. Early in the 30´years started the producing for the veterans. Erwin Rommel was a veteran of WW I. He had the pour le merite in the WW I and wore the medal in WW II too. This pour le merite medal looks valuable and wonderful for a collection.
