Served in the Militia pre-war. Served from 8/12/38 until 16/3/39. NX37106 Gnr Clifford Ernest Hall 2/9 Field Regt. Embarked for the Middle East 3/9/41. Embarked Middle East for Australia 11/3/42. It looks like we went AWAL when he arrived back in Australia and never went back. Instead he enlisted in the RAN. He was still classed as’Illegal Absentee’ in November 1945.
