I will use 1st class recorded on lower value items but please be patient if your item is delayed, the post is very safe and items are tracked, thanks for understanding. Deliveries to China, Russian Federation, Australia and New Zealand are particularly bad due to closure of boarders, many items posted during Lockdown in these countries have been held in the UK waiting to be booked on to first available flight. Social distancing rules, staff shortages etc mean delays can be excessive, but post is in the system, quite safe and getting through eventually. The situation will improve over the next few weeks. Lockdown is being eased now in Australia and New Zealand with flights with Etihad and Emirates resuming 21st May onward and many more airlines restarting services during June. This lot was awarded to brothers William And Albert Clark, the only sons of Widower Ann Clark who resided at 28 Northcote Terrace, Kirkwhite Street, Nottingham. Sets like these are getting harder and harder to find and it is a complete a group as you would like to see. I’ve even left the ribbons as they were found on the wrong medals. The whole lot weighs near 3.5kg. Williams Medals are named with and extra E on the surname on the plaque and medals{this is not unusual}. He died 10/10/1916 with the 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial. Alberts medals are named 42249. He died 22/04/1918 with the 10th Battalion Prince of Wales Own Regiment and is remembered on the Polzieres Memorial. Please view all photos as they form an integral part of the item description. Boer War, WW1 & WW2 Named Medal Group Yorkshire Hussars. A fine and quite scarce set of medals to Richard Lewis Webb including. 1 Yorkshire Hussars Imperial Yoemanry 1901 1902 South Africa Medal inscribed 35812 Pte R. Webb109th Coy Imp: Yeo. 2 South Africa Medal with 5 bars, inscribed as the Yorkshire Medal. 3 1914-19 WW1 Medal inscribed 7168 CPL R. 4 1914-15 Star inscribed 7168 1. 5 1914-18 Medal inscribed 7168 CPL R. 6 1939-45 Defence Medal, not inscribed. 7 1939-45 Medal, not inscribed. From the little research I’ve done, Richard Lewis Webb was born in Middlesex in 1882, his occupation listed as Electrician, a somewhat hazardous job at the time one would assume! He served in the 109th during the 2nd Boer War, then enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps during WW1. He was an aircraft mechanic I believe who rose through the ranks of mechanics from 2nd class to 1st class, then chief mechanic. The medals are in as found condition, the ribbon of the SA Medal is very tattered and not connected to the medal and bars. The medals themselves are in good original condition however some of the ribbons are quite worn. Please judge by the photos, they are a good indication of condition.
