Miss Webster commenced her Registered Nurse training at Dundee Royal Infirmary 2nd April 1924 she recorded her home address then as 99 Edward Street, West Bromwich, Staffordshire. Qualifying in 1927 she was appointed Nursing Sister in the then QAIMNS 26th November 1928. Serving in India and Burma during the Second World War she was awarded the Royal Red Cross 2nd Class London Gazette 19th October 1944 In recognition of gallant and distinguished services in Burma and the Eastern Frontier of India. The official recommendation dated 14th October 1943 states. Acting Matron Miss Beatrice Mary Webster QAIMNS, British Military Hospital GAYA, North East India. For her work as Matron In Charge of the Hospital at GAYA. Throughout the past ten months, through periods of difficulty, heat, dust and overcrowding, she has successfully administered the Nursing Services of this Hospital, so that a most satisfactory standard has been achieved and maintained. Post War Miss Webster served in Malaya and was promoted Lieutenant Colonel 7th January 1952. She retired 19th October 1954 and died in Petersfield in 1983, she never married.
