World War Medals

Up for sale is a set of. 6 WWII US Navy Medals with their pinned Ribbons, Bars, 2 service stars, a color copy of a photo of sailor Henry Beam all displayed on red velvet in a cedar shadow book/box. Navy on January 13, 1942 in North Carolina, serving as GM1/C (Gunners Mate 1st Class Petty Officer,) the gunners mate were the sailors in charge of weapons and ordnance. He was stationed in: Scotland, San Diego, Pearl harbor, France and Asia and was discharged on Oct 18, 1945. I tried to find Henry’s family to return his medals but struck out. This box of medals was found abandoned in a car just before it was crushed in a scrap yard. These beautifully designed Medals include. Victory Campaign Medal, reverse reads: U. The rainbow ribbon and the clasp pin are in good condition. There are two matching rainbow suspension ribbon bars included, one is quite faded and one is bright. The faded one is connected to the Asiatic Pacific Campaign suspension ribbon bar. Expeditions Medal, reverse has an eagle on an anchor with a yellow and blue ribbon and the clasp pin that are in good condition. No ribbon bar is included. Missing is the original ring loop that attaches the medal to the ribbon, I replaced it with a steel loop. Occupation Service Medal shows Neptune riding a seahorse with a red, white & blue ribbon and clasp. On the reverse is an Eagle perched on a anchor. A Europe medal clasp is attached on the ribbon. Reverse has an Eagle standing on an anvil. Included is a faded suspension ribbon bar with two service stars attached. The stars are tarnished and I don’t know what metal they are made out of. This bar is connected to the American Campaign ribbon bar. American Campaign Medal with red, white and blue ribbon and clasp pin. Included in a faded suspension ribbon bar that is attached to the Europe ribbon bar. Asia-Asiatic Pacific Campaign with yellow, red, white and blue ribbon and clasp pin. The reverse shows an Eagle standing on an anvil. Included is a matching suspension ribbon bar that is faded and is attached to the Victory Campaign Medal ribbon bar.
