A very nice group from a pilot who flew P-38 Lightings in WWII and flew the B-26 Invader night bomber in Korea. This group has some limited research included. During WWII he served in the CBI China Burma India and acquired 2 local made bullion wings. They are gorgeous with very little wear and bright patina. The pilot and Command Pilot wings are both sterling. The slotted brooch Air Medal has the official US engraving from the Korean War and includes the box. There are 4 dog tags including his 2 next of kin. All other insignia in the pictures are included. E, they are not perfect items. I do however try my best to research each an every item I find and give the best description listing possible. I treat you the customer the same way I would want and expect to be treated. Please, try to do the same in return. The item “WW2 Korea P-38 & B-26 Pilot Group Named Air Medal Wings Sterling & CBI Made More” is in sale since Monday, March 9, 2020. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\WW II (1939-45)\Original Period Items\United States\Medals & Ribbons”. The seller is “central-38″ and is located in Metamora, Michigan. Here is a highly scarce. World War I US Army Dog Tag Lot for a Field Artillery Battalion. The 301st FA was attached to the 79th Division that earned its name, The Cross of Lorraine Division, in France. Part of the 154th Field Artillery Brigade, the 301st may have been in reserve for the final battle of the War. Most of the lot is 101 years old except for the 1904 Bible and is in overall fair to good condition. WWI US Army Identified Groupings. WWI Dog Tag Lot , 301st Field Artillery Battalion , 79th Division. Legibly stamped pair of Identity Tags on original string necklace. Highly scarce, detailed, Sterling Identification Bracelet etched with a Masonic Symbol. Note for lack of space “the error” engraved on the back of the bracelet; “American Express Force”. 1918 US Army Pocket Calendar – Small Diary includes logs to be filled, insignia charts, with a couple entries, stamped US. 1904 New Testament with inscription, carried in France. World War I Victory Medal with France Bar. Information legible, colors relatively vibrant, string necklace intact. Everything except the Medal was carried/worn/used in France; all very nicely preserved. Potential for Provenance; Raymond C Phelps, 3193076. Domestic buyers offered Discounted, Expedited Service, small box, tracking. Thank You for visiting! These are his only entries through the small book has sections to track guard duty and passes, letters written and received, contacts, etc. There are also neat insignia charts enclosed. The etched sterling Masonic Bracelet with the (I believe) calculated, perhaps tongue in cheek engraving “American Express Force” really is the kicker for this particular lot. Here’s a simply stunning, and rare group of medals. As well as the medals, the original, correctly named DEATH PLAQUE, named to “HARRY BLAKELEY” IS also present, as is a small’Tribute Medal, from the City of Heidelberg, (A suburb of Melbourne) professionally engraved “H BLAKELEY”. As seen in the pictures, there is a lovely, large and detailed ph. Otograph of a group of soldiers pre-war in the’Melbourne. The officer in the group, 2nd It. Joseph Rupert Balfe, wears the cap badge of this regiment. Balfe was KIA on 25th April as well. Blakeley is second from left, front row, next to the Lieutenant. A plaque at the bottom of the picture identifies all men in the group. Of this group of 11, all of whom joined the 6th Battalion AIF, four were KIA on the day of the Landing (25th April 1915), two were. BLAKELEY, aged 20 years, was the son of Harry Blakeley (Snr) and Annie Blakeley (deceased) both of 93 ARTHUR St, Fairfield Park, Victoria. These original KIA groups – particularly complete groups, with death plaques, tribute medals, AND’great’ photos, are very hard to find. Professionally framed, measurements are 840mm by 610mm. See my good feedback, (750-plus). Ocated in East Malvern Victoria. I post at cost. Keywords: ANZAC, NZEF, “Australian Imperial Force”, Turkey, digger, aussie, australia, australian, medal, medals, quinns. The item “WW1 MEDAL TRIO, PLAQUE MORE. Here’s a fantastic chance for someone to own a superb little grouping all to one man. I can confirm that I know his name and number, but don’t now about his RAF service or where he lived etc. He also joined the St Johns ambulance after the war and had something to do with West Riding county fire service. His St Johns ambulance number is A176305. Everything in the grouping either belonged to or was earned by Mr Newton. An original portrait photograph or Mr Newton in his RAF dress uniform during WW2. 1939 – 1945 medal. His WW2 RAF cap badge – missing split clip. The St Johns ambulance association badge – missing split clip. Year awards for servicing for the St Johns ambulance 1959, 1959 & 1957. West Riding county fire service medal – has he name engraved on the rear. As you can see this is a great little lot dedicated to one man, but the most important part is yet to be done, the researching. Which could easily add value to this grouping. Please look at my other militaria currently for sale and I add more on a regular basis.
