Great medals from old German antique sellers company! Additional photos in this description for more information, please have a look! Very nice original estate of rare WW I medals from a brave German front-line soldier in the First World War. The courageous German first corporal fought in the Battle of the Somme and in Champagne during WW I. He received the Pour le Merite for non-commissioned officers in silver. The tape is also original and UV negative. Marker W (Wagner Berlin)on medal. For his courageous fight, the soldier received, in addition to the Pour le Merite for non-commissioned officers in silver, the Iron Cross of the 2nd Class, the Somme Cross as well as the Champagne Cross and the War Participant’s Cross with Swords. The medals are delivered together with the case. These are medals in very good condition. The Pour le Merite has the W stamp in the arm of the cross for Wagner Berlin. The Iron Cross has the maker 4 in the ring and is magnetic and three-part and has a beautiful patina. The band is UB negative. The Somme Cross and Champange Cross are made by Fleck and Sohn Hamburg The ribbon is very beautiful and UV negative. The War Merit Cross swords is made by GHO. These medals come from a soldiers’association / reservists’ association who collected the medals after the war and exhibited them in an aviator exhibition during the First World War. The pilot badge is very nicely made and was found in a old case. The pilot badge is type Juncker an in still good condition. In our opinion, the Pour le Merite is not a medal that was awarded personally, but a high-quality product for the family of the soldier and the honorable soldiers’ associations. These medals come from a soldiers’association / reservists’ association who collected the medals after the war and exhibited them in an aviator exhibition during the First World War. The pilot badge is very nicely made. Unfortunately the needle broke off, but the badge is still in good condition. The case is a Juncker case that is still in good condition. The portrait photo is from the brave German pilot Leutnant Bongartz. Leutnant Bogartz was a bearer of the highest medal Pour le Merite. In our opinion, the Pour le Merite is not a medal that was awarded personally, but a high-quality product for the family of the soldier and the honorable soldiers’ associations. This fantastic opportunity is complete with his original July 1918 (Kanitz) signed Pour le Mérite document which is accompanied by an authentic gilt Wagner Pour le Mérite. Additional items include his personal photo albums, period postcards, numerous photos of him in Luftwaffe service uniform as well as photos of his involvement with postwar Veteran reunions for PLM holders. Jacobs was known to have several examples of the PLM to wear for different occasions. As discussed in Neal O’Connor’s Aviation Awards of Imperial Germany in World War I and the men who earned them, at least two others are known to the collecting community and are published. Imperial German World War I PRINZEN Pour Le Merite Blue Max Medal Bar. The prinzen Pour Le Merite Blue Max measures 1 9/16 wide by 1 5/8 tall. The front shows a four armed maltese cross with an eagle in each corner. The front reads Pour Le Merite. There is a Kings crown with a F below on the upper arm. The reverse side is blank. The top of the fan and the oblong suspension loop are both maker marked JGUS for the manufacturing firm of Joseph Godet Und Sohn. Double sided powder blue enamel with a brass frame. The cross is mounted onto a medal bar with a Hindenburg Cross with Swords. The reverse side is maker marked Sch. Has a thin horizontal pin back with a c catch. Magnetic die struck steel construction. The ribbons are machine embroidered woven padded cotton material. This medal bar would have been worn on the walking out dress tunic. The medal was valuable and in good condition. I found the stamp 800 on the Pour le Merite. The medal was found in a old bakelit case. The case is very nice and included. The award is used and old and not damage on it. The hard enamel is very nice. The medal looks antique and was made from a old German prussia jeweler!! Very amazing badge in real antique condition. Original WW1 WWI German Iron Cross 2nd class W/ Pour Le Merite Blue Max Medal and eagle clasp. I’ve had this one in the collection for almost 30 years. The Veterans wore these after the War in order to be modest and not wear their large medals in public. This one is especially nice, as it has the crowned eagle clasp at the top and the Blue Max medal, which makes me think he was a pilot. I wish I had the name attached to this, but I don’t. Very nice piece for any serious WWI collection. Medal has wear and oxidation, a little bit of enamel loss to the blue max pin and green verdigris to the edges, as you would expect over all these years. Measures 5 long overall. Highest prussia award in WW I!! Carried in WW II too!! Please read the discription (more photos)!! Pour le Merite WW I and WW II with oak leaves. Came from a old German private collection!! This valuable pour le merite came from a great old collection. The medal was made after WW I maybe in the 30`years for veterans and highly officers. Mostly pour le merite were destroyed after the war. Early in the 30´years started the producing for the veterans. Erwin Rommel was a veteran of WW I. He had the pour le merite in the WW I and wore the medal in WW II too. This pour le merite medal looks valuable and wonderful for a collection. The Pour le Merite is certainly a rare valuable production and was made after the WW I from a jeweller for a highly German officer and pilot. Lent Pour le Merite are very rarely to be find on the collectors’ markets and cost over. Because many of these pour le merite were destroyed in the war. In the later years Pour le Merite awards were manufactured in small numbers for the veterans. The orders have a high quality and are rarely to get of producer Juncker.
