All of them being genuine. Some of the Victorian and WW1 medals have been polished but you will see from my photographs the condition. Singles, pairs, trios and family groups. Some medals have photocopy paperwork with them as well. Some do have modern ribbons, but the majority are on their original ribbons. All are full size unless otherwise stated. This is a single silver General Service Medal – Elizabeth II era with a MALAYA clasp on. This medal can swivel. The edge has been engraved with the following. LEONG KHAI MALAYA H. There are normal signs of age and use wear including some surface scuffs, impact marks, or dirt etc. Medal and ribbon are nice. The medal is 36.2mm dia. A WW2 group to Lt. Jan Halka was a pre-war Polish Army Cadet, he fought in the September 1939 campaign against the Germans in which he was wounded. From 1940 he was involved in the Polish underground the Armia Krajowa. By 1944 he was a Lieutenant and was involved in several actions against the Germans including sabotage, destruction of trains, attacks on enemy convoys and during one of these attacks he was wounded again. He took part in Akcja Burza in the middle of 1944. Document from Sept 1939 about him being sent to a another unit. German occupation work document with Nazi stamps. Document issued by the Soviet/Polish Secret Police (Urzad Bezpeczenstwa) to allow him to return to Poland in 1946(Very RARE). Documents related to him being awarded a Virtuti Militari in 1944. Documents from the Home Army Assc. In London that he was awarded a VM Cross number 13746. Legitymacja document for a Gold Cross of Merit with Swords. Documents identity card related material that he was a veteran. A 5 page type written account of his service in the AK which he wrote himself. A Polish Home Army Badge from the 1940′s. Offered is a Gallipoli related service medal group to Able Seaman G. Pennifold, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve and Howe Battalion, Royal Naval Division. Swing mounted, as worn, medals include: 1914 Star, with clasp, impressed named to SX2/ 200 G. HOWE BTTN RND; British War and Victory Medals, impressed named to S. Defence Medal; Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve L. 1st issue, with Second Award Bar (loose on ribband), impressed named to 2/200 G. Medals come with some copied service record sheets, showing medal and service entitlement. George Alfred Pennifold was a native of Brighton, and was born in October 1891. He joined the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve as Ordinary Seaman, 12. He was mobilised for service with the Royal Naval Division, and joined Howe Battalion, 22 August 1914. Subsequent service included with H. Queen Elizabeth (battleship), December 1914 – August 1917, during which time she became flagship for the preliminary naval operations for the Dardanelles campaign. Pennifold was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Long Service & Good Conduct Medal, 4. May 1920, and the Second Award Bar 3 April 1929. Rarely will you come across a set of medals with the 2nd award bar to the long service medal, especially to a man who served through the entirety of the First World War in the Royal Naval Division and Home Guard during the Second World War.
