(for an accurate total, you would have to remove the stones from the settings) During measurements there is some degree of calculation, so it is an approximation. In regards to our time pieces watches, clocks etc. We verify the condition when they leave our office and will be stated as working or not working. All working watches may still need to be professionally cleaned/serviced in order to keep time accurately. Each of our time pieces are vintage and used to a different degree. This is a military lot for David Lawrence Lapointe and his Brother. One of the brothers was killed in the line of duty so I believe the cross medal is his the rest of the buttons and paperwork belong to David Lawrence Lapointe. This is a lot of US Navy items – mostly medals and buttons. Here are the itemized pieces: MEDAL – American Campaign on front. United States of America 1941 1945 on the back. This is in a blue box. MEDAL – With 3 bars on burgundy ribbon that read 1934 1938 and Fourth Award. There is also one bar that reads Fleet that may go with this medal but I’m not sure. On the back of this medal it reads Fidelity Zeal Obedience and has a personal engraving that reads Raymond Hartley U. 26 July 1926 MEDAL – Asiatic Pacific Campaign on the front. (There is a blue box for this but I put the more fragile medal with the burgundy ribbon in it for safe keeping) MEDAL – American Defense on the front. On the back it reads For Service During the Limited Emergency Proclaimed by the President on September 8 1939 or During the Unlimited Emergency Proclaimed by the President on May 27 1941 PIN – USN with Anchor and chain. Not in great shape with lots of oxidization LAPEL BUTTONS – There are two of these that read U. Navy Honorable Discharge LAPEL BUTTON – Gold color metal with eagle. No wording on this one. MATCHING BUTTONS – Six large buttons that are a bit darker than the others. Single loop on back to attach to fabric. On the back they read Waterbury Button Co. MATCHING BUTTONS – Three large gold metal buttons with emblem on front. Single loop on back. Nothing printed on them. MATCHING BUTTONS – Very dark color. One large and one small that are linked together. On the back they read Waterbury Scoville Mf’g Co MATCHING BUTTONS – Four large and six small buttons. On the back they read Waterbury Cos Conn. W 21 with two little stars PATCH – Round black with single white ring. All items display wear. The burgundy ribbon on the medal dated 1926 is in poor condition. Buttons display some marks and oxidization and a ding on one. The blue boxes are in poor condition. Lots of photos so please have a close look. Everything will be wrapped with care.
