ORIGINAL WW1 1914/1915 STAR AND BRITISH WAR MEDAL TO. VOLUNTARY AID DETACHMENT NURSE HENRIETTA EDITH DAVIES. Henrietta Edith Davies daughter of Humphrey (Professor of Languages) and Emma Ida Davies. Born 1886 in France. Baptised 24 November 1887 in Whalley Lancashire. According to the 1901 Census Henrietta was 15 and living with her uncle (a Surgeon) and aunt at 91 Preston New Road, Blackburn, Lancashire. This was her address when she joined the V. As a nurse aged 30 on 11/09/15 She served at the Military General Hospital Egypt, until she was demobilised on the 7/03/19. Her Medal entitlement is confirmed.
