THE MOUNTED SET OF MEDALS DISPLAYS STANDING VERTICAL, HORIZONTAL, OR WHEN HUNG FROM A PICTURE HANGER. The medal ribbons Do Not glow whatsoever when set under a UV black light. Each of the medals are mounted securely in the display, I have never attempted to (or will) or had the medals out of the display case. Not sure how the medals are held in-place in the case, but I Do Not see any glue residue on the ribbons whatsoever which is good!! Just a great looking WWI Military Display! The British (English) War Medal is quite interesting being named and numbered along the thin edge. Medal is marked, 240570 PTE A. Research shows a WW1 British Soldier Verification with this same Service Number 240570 Albert Mercer from E. The other cased metals include French (France) War Medal, United States Victory Medal with 3 Battle Clasps, Italy (Italian) War Medal, Belgium War Medal, German Iron Cross, and German Hindenburg Cross with Swords awarded to all German Soldiers whom fought at the front. The medals are all considered Used and appear to be in good shape each. The only damage I noticed is a bit of fraying on the US Victory Medal Ribbon at the upper right corner.
