Gunner W Adcock served with the Headquarters, 94th Brigade Royal Field Artillery. The citation for the award was published in the London Gazette on 15th March 1916 and reads as follows. For conspicuous gallantry on several occasions when mending telephone wires under heavy rifle and shell fire. The medal is in good condition and turns tightly on its suspension.
