I have a World War One medal from Ruanda. The medal is bronze, it is 2 3/4 inches in diameter and in slightly circulated condition. Joseph Witterwulghe of Belgium was the medalist. I assume this medal is from Belgium. On one side it shows a naked native girl kneeling and kissing the hand of an allegorical Liberty. At the bottom rim it reads RUANDA. The other side shows barefoot soldier crouched & aiming his rifle. At the bottom rim it reads CAMEROUN, TABORA – 1914 ESTAFRICAIN 1918 – RHODESIE.
