Very fine and contemporary WW1 & WW2 miniature group of eight (8) on a period suspension bar, with very rare U. Navy Cross, to Royal Navy Captain Henry Luxmore Hitchins C. Is in perfect condition with no enamel damage. Navy Cross was the second highest award for Gallantry in action and only rarely awarded to non-Americans. Hitchins was, amongst other achievements, a Jutland veteran. This is probably a unique surviving miniature group. These are quality miniatures, unlike the modern copies produced today. The miniatures were parted from the large medals in the 1970s – hence the provenance. Please see my other original items being listed. Thank you for looking.
